Theme of Courage in To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee Essay

Throughout To Kill a Mockingbird, courage is seen as a major theme. Not still in Atticus fight for the freedom of Tom Robinson, provided also in Mrs. Duboses fight to die free of her morphine addiction. Atticus proves that courage is a moral act by taking on Tom Robinson?s case. Atticus is intelligent enough to know the battle is already lost, but still he remains the man he says he is, and fights anyway. He fights to the best of his ability, and fights to the end. This is the same case with Mrs. Dubose and her fight to die free of her drug problem. She is certain that she will die, but she is determined to die free of morphine ? even if it means living her last days in pain.
